Why Are My Home Fuel Prices Rising?

fuel costs marylandIt will not surprise many people that fuel prices are on the rise. In fact, as of October 2021, gas prices hit the highest price point we’ve seen since 2014, as reported by the US Energy Information Administration. This surge is due partially to huge ups and downs when it comes to supply and demand as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While prices are certainly constantly fluctuating, there is no question that they are high, which leaves many people wondering how they can save on costs despite the current situation we’re facing.

Q-Dog is happy to share that our customers have ample opportunities to save on fuel bills in all sorts of ways.

How To Save On Home Heating Costs

  • Simply just paying for your fuel oil or propane with a credit card can save you money at Q-Dog. All you need to do is sign up for autopay and you’ll end up saving 5 cents per gallon on your orders.

Maryland Energy Assistance Program

Q-Dog cares deeply about keeping you, your family and our Maryland community warm and comfortable each and every winter season. This is why we are happy to recommend the Maryland Energy Assistance Program (MEAP) to anyone who may need extra assistance paying for their bills and fuel deliveries now that fuel prices are on the rise.

Known nationally as the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), MEAP is a federally funded program that offers low-income households in the Maryland area assistance with paying their home energy bills. Eligibility is based on your household income before taxes. Maryland residents can apply with this application.
