Full-Time & Seasonal Fuel Oil/Propane Delivery Drivers

The Gott Company, parent company of Q-Dog (Quality Discount Oil & Gas) division has an immediate opening for full-time and seasonal fuel oil / propane delivery drivers.  Interested candidates can call us today for immediate consideration at 410-535-0484 or visit our main office in the Calvert County Industrial Park to complete an application.

You must have an active Class A or B CDL License with Tanker, Airbrake and Hazmat Endorsements and be able to pass a DOT physical, drug screen and background check.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and safe fuel oil/propane deliveries
  • Adhere to all applicable DOT, state, federal and Company rules and regulations
  • Utilize onboard truck computer
  • Professionally interact with customers to ensure excellent customer service is provided
  • Work all hours assigned including occasional weekend hours


  • Must have a minimum of 2 years fuel service/propane delivery experience
  • The ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • The ability to lift, carry and pull equipment up to 80 pounds

Customer Service Representative

Department: Customer Service
Report to: Operations Mgr.

Position summary: The customer service representative is the main point of contact for all customer questions, concerns and prompt resolution within an account.

Role qualifications:

  • Must be energetic and self directed
  • Must have previous experience in a service oriented, fast paced environment
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must have great phone manner
  • Must have good computer skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and to work well with others

Position responsibilities:

  • Daily pre-deliver communication with customers and sales reps, to confirm upcoming deliveries and scheduled delivery dates
  • Daily post-delivery communication with customers and sales reps to confirm deliveries were completed to customer satisfaction, and troubleshoot any issues that may have arisen during delivery
  • Field all customer complaints and coordinate with customer service supervisor to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Daily data entry
  • Creating and maintaining organized files for equipment received/delivered
  • Answering all incoming phone calls and customer emails

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers and customers
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
